you also "brush" your tooth because you use a brush, yet we do "putzen" (clean) our tooth. Mostlikely this is the way how languages developed. They are classified as Raketenstartrampe (missile launcher)īut since lrm's seem to be used and named as LRM throwers we would classify them as "Werfer". But the device to launch such kind of missiles would be called Raketenbasis (Missilebase).Īnd we shoot these kidn of rokets/missiles because we say "Abschuß" We also launch "start" missiles, but those are more of the the big kind of missiles flyign to space or what the V2 was probably doing.

I ever heard or used the term that way, in german its a Raketenwerfer, tahts why you cna not simply translate the same words into the otherlanguage, becaue you launch missiles. My personal hint would be making this shorter:īasic question: when a player is using 4x srms, will the LRM writing still appear on the side of the SRM thower? because I don't own a KGC 0000 so no idea, in that case the entire writing is a bit failĬonsidering that it is called a LRM launcher in English, could you just change the german equivalent of thrower into launcher? Or is it considered the same thing in German? (note that google translate changes launcher into thrower, not sure if this is accurate) (decide for the neuter or masculine here) If you wanna keep the LRM term then I am not sure if it should be it or he, but "he" sounds naturally more correct for a german, while by grammer "it" would be used

"Er feuert eine Lansgtreckenrakete" (requires indefinite article) Bu no one would say this in that way. That does not need a plural s at the end, because of Langstreckenrakete (sgl) and Langstreckenraketen (pl) and we do not differ this into LSRen at this point. But using the german "es" as neuter article on the LRM is kinda sounding totally off. Because we would naturally say "er" (he) since "Werfer" is masculine.

It should be fire or shoot, becaue it either "feuert" (from to fire) or "schießt" (from to shoot).įurther LRMs shoudl also be reworded to LSR (LanStreckenRaketen) since the short term LRM is not working in German. While we do actually "Raketenwerfer" it does not "throw" missiles. Can you PGi please ask us in future when doing this, the words are off.
